H Scene Count- 70

The kinda sequel to LiliPalace, that I thought was licesned by Frontwing. No idea what happened there, so we’ll ignore that that. This is a much bigger game then LiliPalace, with corruption, a time mechanic, and many different dungeons. Still a dungeon crawler with a party focus.

Story

So you are Luna, apparently a demon child who brings misfortune. Through hard work and love for the princess(your first and only friend), you have become a royal knight. That same day, your unit is taken out while escorting the princess, who is kidnapped and the rest of the unit killed. You are then framed for setting up the kidnapping for some gold, and sent to the dungeons where the game begins. You are swiftly freed and set out to find the princess, who is likely in the slave town in the middle of the desert.

Once you reach there you quickly begin searching for the girl, while dealing with the lust worm inside your body. The people who took the princess inserted it into you, and now sex is something you deeply desire, though you can beat the game a virgin if you try. Anyway, you quickly meet a dancer and a cleric(the same cleric from Lilipalace who is really the only connection these games have), and find find some information to get started. Things happen. There’s a split route where you work with either the cleric or the dancer depending on a boss fight.

Notice how I didn’t really talk about any details? That’s because the game is kinda like a puzzle. Each event can be solved in usually more then one way, while some take specific options to complete. Like Lilipalace, the entire game is more or less a puzzle, with a very soft time limit. You have about 7 days before the princess is sold off and you can’t save her, but even if you hit the limit you can go back in time a few days with all your progress. It’s very lenient.

Gameplay

The fastest dungeon crawler I’ve ever seen. It was probably my settings, but I zoomed everywhere. Map clearing was quick, and other then spots with only a single square I could move through the pace was frantic and quick. It’s nice to play something that felt fast. As for the combat…

It’s mostly the usual turn based fair. Your turn, then their turn. Every your turn you regain 1 MP, and you have a quick skill bar on the bottom to make selecting your favorite skills easy. Due to the amount of equipment you can get, you can play Luna, the cleric, and the dancer as really any combat role. They all get weapons suited to support, melee, and casting.

So like Lilipalace, each fight is basically something of a puzzle itself. There’s always an optimal strategy the devs wanted you to use, but there’s usually a few more ways to win fights. One of the more important things in this game is that you can target yourself, which for a few boss fights is important as they will grab you with things you can’t target directly. Instead you hit yourself with that explosion of lightning to free yourself. Monsters will usually drop money, and experience that you don’t get to see for some reason.

As for town and the time mechanic, it’s all really lenient and easy. The town has a number of places to visit but the main path is almost always set out before you. Just follow what people say and by day 3 or so you’ll have the ability to save the princess and trigger the routes. Talking to people and moving areas advances time, and a small number of things change based on the time of day. Entering dungeons advances time by a lot, though you can manage that by entering them right before a day ends. At the end of each day is a scene of the princess getting sexually trained.

Oh, and game overs don’t matter in this. Losing a fight does basically nothing unless its a sex scene one, which will then play the scene. If you die or are captured in that scene, you’ll at the end get a prompt to continue just before the fight. The game’s way to lenient really. The only fight lost that matters is the route split one.

H and Other stuff

It’s a lot of rape and prostitution. Nothing I cared for really, though I noticed the prostitution was really samey very quickly. A lot of the scenes are game over affair, though there’s a fair amount that just move time forward a lot which is almost the same thing.

I just skipped a lot of the scenes to keep playing, so I didn’t read a lot of it. There’s the usual monster and asshole variety, some mind control, sex training, prostitution, and just sex a as result of making stupid choices. It’s all voiced for the four girls that are in the scenes.

Verdict

If you liked Lilipalace, this is a good sequel to that. If you like dungeon crawlers, this is a good play. As a game it’s solid. You do need to actually read it though, as a lot of puzzles and fights demand that you pay attention to what you were told.

It’s UFO Sunday and I don’t know about you, but I’m finally feeling like I’ve turned the corner on this whole unfinished project habit.

Back in August when I started this initiative, I had loads of projects that were all in various incomplete and chaotic states. I didn’t even have an accurate count on all the projects needing to be finished. All I knew is that all my projects were very overwhelming and their combined weight was killing my love for quilting.

Where had all these UFOs come from? Well, we all know it feels great to start something new, but requires a bit more sticking power to stay with a project through the long haul. I’d gotten very good at starting new projects, but needed to work on seeing the quilts through to the very end, binding and all.

So it seems the first lesson for UFO busting is simple – stop creating new UFOs. Resist the urge to create new projects!

The second lesson is a bit trickier – build a habit for finishing what you start.

This requires a bit more effort than you might think. Big, complicated projects are hard to return to, particularly if you can’t remember where you stopped, or how to get started again.

I’ve found the best possible helping hand is journaling – write about your project, how you feel about it, and what needs to happen next in order to move on with the project.

This has been a great help for me with the 365 quilt, which was stalled for several months because of one simple problem – I had no idea how I was going to handle the borders.

Four months later I STILL have no idea how I’m going to handle the borders, but at least the quilt is in one piece. There’s a bit more hand binding left to go and I’m hoping I’ll figure out that border situation by the time it’s done. Journaling helped me to keep moving with this project and not let it totally stall out on minor details.

In a way building the habit finishing projects is a bit like building a muscle in your body. You have to start small with minor victories, then as you gain more momentum, really start flexing your muscles with harder projects. I can say for sure that sticking with a challenging project from beginning to end with no breaks for UFO distraction is a great feeling.

Ultimately I feel this UFO Sunday initiative has been a great success and I plan to continue these days in 2013. If you have a stack of UFOs in your closet that are begging to be finished, make the resolution to tackle these projects next year and free yourself from the overwhelming weight and stress of so much left undone.
Let’s go Quilt,

Finally, I can report progress on my 2018 Reading Challenge. I’m still working towards a solid Commit-to-Self-schedule, but I’m tweaking and getting there. It’s taking some trial and error, which is new. But then, it’s also new not giving up on my resolution by now. We’re all going forward together, so keep at your resolution/goals too, even if they are not exactly how you envisioned them.

I’m often asked: What can Maple do? One thing it does is provide a place to store the Thoughts I don’t have bandwidth to fully explore yet. I know, that sounds sorta weird. Here’s how it works for me:

I find that insights or meaningful ideas frequently happen when I least expect it. I call these Just Formed Thoughts because they aren’t entirely complete yet, they are just the start of something. Rather than lose the idea before I have a chance to think it all the way through, I put those in Maple. I come back to them later, give them attention, and see what they are all about. Here’s an example: while on the phone and flipping through the mail a course flyer caught my attention. I knew it was something I was interested in but couldn’t explore in the moment. I quickly popped a Thought about it in Maple – “Check the program at school. What is it? Doable? Why are you interested? Cost?” I set the Reminder and just continued my conversation.

Other times something races through my head and I’m just not in a place to receive the idea. These are what I consider whispers. Its something relevant to my purpose or path but I don’t want to accept the idea at the moment. Think of this as being in a movie theater, fully engrossed in the action, and the person you came with leans over and says in your ear, “Check your oil filter when you get your car serviced.” Your reaction is “Ok yea. But I can’t think about that now. That dude is about to get eaten by a dinosaur.” The whispered words linger somewhere in your brain, but you can’t deal with them, so you don’t. The problem is, because you didn’t want to hear or acknowledge that info, you may not recall it. You’ve safely plopped that in the Not Dealing with That Now bucket. For me, those bits are usually lost. My Not Dealing with That powers are strong!

Here’s what I discovered about whispers: 1) They aren’t always obvious things I’d think of, they are coming from deep within – like my gut talking to me and 2) My desire not to hear them is my mind shutting down the idea – its something that scares me. Not scary like a T-Rex chasing me, scary like here’s my crap and it needs to be dealt with. Given the option to conveniently forget that whisper, guess what is going to happen? And the possibility of progress associated with that whisper? Also, not going to happen.

Putting those whispers into Maple may take some doing because my brain is actively trying to protect me from something I’m afraid of. But I usually get enough captured to come back to.

I’ve made my way through Gifts of Imperfection by @BrenéBrown (Yea me – the first book is done!) and in the spirit of being vulnerable, I created a Maple Journal for Fears. As I review my Thoughts, if its triggering a fear (or one of its shady counterparts: anger, resentment, jealousy – you know the list) I put it in that journal. I don’t necessarily resolve it. Merely taking the little step to name it, own that I am afraid, and recognize its keeping something else from happening. Full disclosure: I thought this process wouldn’t be useful. Happily, it is! It creates space, a desire to deal with fear and peace. Plus, when I finally roll up my sleeves and do the work, I have all of it safely in Maple.

It’s natural to plod along or grapple with your Commitment to Self. We all do. Ask yourself, what fear is at the center of my struggle? Then, Maple on, friends!

Our journey continues.

It only takes a second to Like, Tweet, or Share this and we love it when you get social about Maple!

How to turn Negative Rumination into Useful Reflection

We all know people who slither down the rabbit hole of bad memories and wriggle out frazzled on the other side.

Ruminations shape responses and attitudes.

The future reflects the rumination of the present.

We all know people who slither down the rabbit hole of bad memories and wriggle out frazzled on the other side.

Negative rumination:

It doesn’t bode well that you tend to remember bad experiences with greater clarity and frequency than good.

Rumination seems smart:

Bad memories instill ‘realistic’ expectations and protect your heart.

  • Disappointment prepares you for potential setbacks and frustrations.
  • Negative memories lower expectations. “It will,” you think, “happen again.”

Experience teaches you to prepare for disappointment.

Make rumination useful:

#1. Don’t be a cow:

It’s natural to chew on the bad qualities of your boss or employees like a cow chews on her cud. She chews awhile, swallows, and brings it up again for more chewing.

Ruminating on bad memories contaminates your future.

#2. Reflect, don’t ruminate:

Turn negative rumination into learning opportunities by reflection on your response, not on disappointment or offense. What response is most beneficial for yourself and your team?

Maintain personal responsibility even when disappointed in others.

#3. Admire, don’t condemn:

Choose to admire strengths and contribution, not condemn mistakes or weaknesses. There’s a difference between resolving and condemning.

Create an admiration journal. Write three things you admire about every person on your team. Record a new point of admiration before you deal with disappointments or mistakes.

If you don’t admire the people on your team, someone has to go.

#4. Shift from complaint to compliment:

Write one encouraging email to a friend, team member, or customer every morning.

Click out a few sentences that explain how someone matters and send it on it’s way before dealing with the pressures of the day.

#5. Create triggers:

Use negative events, emotions, and thoughts as triggers for positive action. When it comes to rumination, we think too much and act too little.

What happens when leaders go down the rumination rabbit hole?

How might leaders turn rumination into something useful?

Relax. Karma is not your enemy. It’s not out to get you. Karma is impersonal. It’s simply energy. Karma is unresolved energy that you carry around with you. Regardless of whether you’re aware of it or believe in it, the energy of karma attracts experiences and people in your life that will reflect this energy back to you so that you can resolve it once and for all.

How to free yourself from unfinished resolution in 2018

You will carry karma until you receive the gift of awareness it offers you. This clears the karma. Most people get the “gift” after many repeated and often uncomfortable experiences of the karma being played out in their interactions with others. The good news is that there’s another way!

Clearing karma is one of the benefits of a past life regression. People sometimes ask what’s the point of going back over a life that’s already over. Realistically, you can’t possibly learn everything about the human experience in one lifetime. So we come back to learn more and also to try to fix and complete what was unfinished in previous lives. Past life regression is one way to have guidance through the process because we tend to have blindspots that we won’t see on our own.

You can also clear karma on your own inwardly, without having to go through the painful experience of living it out. This requires a high degree of self honesty and self compassion.

To clear your karma with someone:

1) Review your past experiences with the person. Find what the lessons were that you needed to learn from that experience. For example, maybe a lesson was to not lose your Self in a relationship and to hold healthy boundaries or maybe it was the opposite, how to be more open and connect authentically.

2) The lessons are the gifts of that experience. Understand that in acknowledging the gifts of that experience, it doesn’t condone other people’s wrong behavior. You’re simply recognizing that we are each responsible for our own lessons. You only need to focus on your lessons.

3) In recognizing the gifts of that experience, you clear and release the energy (karma) between you and the other person through the power of forgiveness. You forgive them for however they hurt you, recognizing that’s their lesson to learn and they will learn it in their own way and timing, perhaps not in this lifetime. In forgiving them, you free yourself from the burden of heavy, negative emotions.

4) You forgive yourself for allowing yourself to get hurt or for hurting others. You’ve always done the best you could with the level of awareness you were at. Forgiveness is a much higher frequency than anger, fear or resentment. Forgiveness can come when you feel empowered from the lessons you learned and so you can trust yourself to now make more joyful, fulfilling choices.

Karma points you to the areas where, through clearing, you can feel even better and develop more of your potential. Once you begin to view karma in this new way, as a tool for your growth and healing, maybe karma can even become your friend.

How to free yourself from unfinished resolution in 2018

Do the names Tony Robbins, Rachel Hollis, Mel Robbin’s ring a bell? This day in age, I’m confident you do! Why? Because these are some of the top influencers of mindset. If you’re not sure exactly what I’m referring to when I mention “mindset,” let me break it down for you.

Dictionary.com describes it in it’s most simple form as being:

  1. an attitude, disposition, or mood.
  2. an intention or inclination.

This definition alone is a far cry of what mindset means when preached by the “experts” (listed above). When they talk about and teach mindset, they are referring to having an open mindset. In reality, we all have our own mindset, but how strong our mindset is, is what can make a huge difference in our quality of life.

Some of you might have resolutions this upcoming year to: Be a better boss, parent, spouse, friend . . . the list goes on, but try taking that resolution and working backward. In order to do any of those things, your mindset is likely required to change a bit. Doing things the same exact way, but wanting other things ends up leaving you disappointed. Why? Because wanting other outcomes, but using similar actions and the same mindset doesn’t end up changing an outcome at all. The same mindset equals same actions, equals the same outcome. It’s simple math, but also a challenging task. I’m not at all saying that changing your mindset is easy. If you know my background, you know that I too have struggled with this same. I’m convinced everyone has this kind of struggle at some point, so know that you’re not alone.

So, what do you do about it? Make your resolution. Write it down. . . on your planner, on sticky notes, in a journal… .everywhere! Constantly remind yourself of your “vision.” Believe that you have already accomplished that and play the part. You know the saying “fake it until you make it”? It’s not a popular quote for no reason, it’s the truth! It’s not just about mind over matter. It’s about embracing change and having true faith and understanding that everything really does happen for a reason.

So, what’s the number one way to keep your new years resolution? Practice makes perfect! Just like a diet, if creating a more open mindset is your path, take baby steps every day to make choices that will eventually become your “norm.”

For example, y our ex says something nasty to you that really ticks you off. Your instinct might be to let them have it right back. Instead, try reacting in a way that is more calm and direct, rather than harsh or just as mean as what they might be saying. This does not make you a pushover! This makes you the bigger person and the one that’s really in charge? Why, because you’re actually the one that has the most control. Let them be the one that acts out and says mean things, then put an end to it by not going back and forth.

Another person’s perception of you is just that, a perception. Mindset is all about being confident in yourself and who you are while embracing the chaos that might come your way at times. I promise you, that the first time you try to react differently to something then you did before, you will feel better. Maybe not right away because you’re so used to the “old” way of reacting, but give it a few hours, or a few days, you will see the positive end result.

Along with practicing a new mindset, let go of old resentments. You have to free yourself before you can embrace yourself. By holding onto old animosities, you are limiting your mental expansion and growth. As you release the tension, a definite weight will come off your heart, and mind, allowing room for more positivity to take up residence.

Whether you’re in a “dark place” right now, or feel like you’re on top of the world, take time to focus on your goals. Mindset controls all things, and even if your goal isn’t really on “mindset,” I can assure you that mindset is the answer to the success of any goal you have. Want to eat better? Change your mindset? Want to make more money this year? Change your mindset? Want to be a better parent? A better employee? A better friend ? . . . Changing your mindset is still the required path.

Soul Sister, you got this!! Make 2019 the best yet!

How to free yourself from unfinished resolution in 2018

About Gail Werner

As a Healer, Medical Intuitive, Psychic and Certified Consulting Hypnotist, I help people create positive changes in their lives; freeing themselves from pain, fears or phobias, and physical conditions, gaining more understanding of who they really are, and improving their lives and their relationships.

I work with the soul mind (the unconscious mind) for deep and permanent healing. Many of our current issues have their origins in another lifetime or stem from unhealed childhood emotional traumas. These wounds can go so deep in the soul mind that they become unavailable for healing. When you have tried everything and still struggle with life, then you may have emotional scars that are beyond your conscious awareness. Healing the soul mind creates a life-changing transformation as you free yourself from the heavy burdens of unresolved issues.

No matter how many soul journeys I facilitate, I am always amazed by the experience. The soul mind holds all your memories. The memories that continue to hold you hostage are the ones that feel unfinished by the soul mind. It is important to the soul mind that you complete what needs to be made complete so the soul can advance in it’s evolution. Whether these memories are from this lifetime or before, if they feel incomplete, they are causing you to seek completion, sometimes in unhealthy ways. It’s important for your health on all levels to discover what soul memories need resolution.

Do you suffer from any hidden challenges? We can work together to seek your answers. Results can unfold in the most unexpected and healing ways.

It’s that time again!

Three to four times a year, Mercury, the fastest moving planet in our solar system appears to stop on its orbit, stand still in space and then travel backwards. It’s this backward motion that is being referred to when you hear people talking about Mercury “in retrograde” and each time it lasts for about three (looong!) weeks.

In Astrology, Mercury rules matters of travel, connectivity, technology and communication

So when this planet goes into retrograde, these areas of our lives can be seriously affected. And it’s precisely because as modern humans, we are SO dependent on travel, connectivity, technology and our many forms of communication, that Mercury’s retrograde feels like it cuts deeper than many of the other Planets. It’s also travelling insanely fast, which means that its movements – especially when going backwards – can make us feel a bit like we’re inside a spinning top.

If you’re not prepared, it can certainly feel like a hot mess when you’re right in the middle of it. But if you DO know what’s coming, and more importantly know how to handle it, then Mercury retrograde can be a breeze!

Here are our Mercury Retrograde Survival Tips…

Follow these and who knows, you may just emerge from the other side more energized, more aligned and ready to leap into life with more gusto than before!

1. Back up your data

This is number 1 so do it now! Because computers, phones and electronic devices all reside under the watchful gaze of Mercury, when this planet retrogrades it can spin their operating systems out of whack. Don’t take any risks.

2. Communicate clearly!

Plan important conversations. Check letters and emails before you send them, and make sure that all the information you need to convey is there in plain sight.

3. Double check everything

Our own attention and awareness can be a little off-kilter during a Mercury retrograde. Even though it can be easier to blame everyone and everything else when things go wrong, what if the lesson here is to take responsibility … before the storm hits?

Check the details of all arrangements made during Mercury retrograde, then check them again. Then one more time. Pay particular attention to travel plans.

4. Review commitments

Avoid entering into any new contracts or commitments. Instead, review, renew or release old ones. When Mercury is in retrograde we have a good opportunity to go back over old ground to see what is and isn’t working for us any longer. Cut ties which no longer serve you, and strengthen those that do.

If you really must embark upon something new …

5. Check the small print

If signing contracts or entering into agreements, read through every single line. Ask questions. Make yourself as informed as you can, because the chances are you’ll uncover a vital detail that nobody else told you was there.

6. Toughen up!

If other people say things that upset you, don’t take it so personally. Let it go. They’re also being swept up in this retrograde tide, so give them the benefit of the doubt. They probably didn’t mean it.

8. Organize a reunion

We’re often flung into the past during a Mercury Retro, with old flames and forgotten friends popping up unexpectedly. These are really opportunities to re-kindle connections, reinforce alliances or just to finally make amends and cut ties. So make it intentional. Use this time to re-connect with people from the past you care about or have unfinished business with.

9. Flow with where you’re taken

Missed flights, unexpected delays and changed plans are really just heavily disguised cosmic course corrections. Mercury has a sneaky way of leading us astray, in order to lead us to something which is actually a much better fit. So trust where you’re being taken – follow Mercury’s lead.

10. Slow down

If reality as you know it appears to be dissolving in front of your eyes, stop running around like crazy trying to pick up the pieces! S-l-o-w d-o-w-n. What else can you see appearing in its place? What awesomeness is moving in to fill the cracks? If all you are doing is rushing around pretending it’s not happening, you’ll miss out on the magic…
