How to mute someone on facebook

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration and communication tool. What’s more, it’s mostly used in organizations or educational institutes. It is rarely if ever, used as a personal communication tool.

Communication i.e., who can message or call who is controlled because the channels aren’t open unless a user allows someone to message them or invites them to join a team.

All that said, you may still find that a user becomes a problem to the point where you have to block communication from them in Microsoft Teams.

Conclusion

Communication apps that are used for work generally do not have a block feature. Casual conversation apps like Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger ar ofen used for work but they do not have enterprise models which is why they will allow you to block anyone you want. Microsoft Teams is an entirely different type of app that builds teams from Microsoft 365 groups and the active directory which is why this feature is only available in a select scenario.

Some people on Facebook may opt to hide their friends list from you. WonderHowTo shares some tricks on revealing those "private" lists.

Once you have your target picked out, the process is pretty simple. Follow these steps to start uncovering their friends:

  1. To start, you'll need to do a little detective work. Identify a probable friend of your intended target. Think of where your target works, groups they could be members of, and people they might associate themselves with. If you don't anything to go on, use Facebook's Graph Search feature to find potential friends.
  2. Once you've nailed down a friend of your target, you need to find out both of their account ID names. You can find these by going to their Facebook page and looking at the end of the URL. It will read https://www.facebook.com/ACCOUNT_ID .
With both user's IDs, insert them into a URL that looks like this: https://www.facebook.com/TARGET_ID/friends?and=FRIEND_OF_TARGET_ID
  3. With that search, you'll see every friend that they have in common. From there, it's a process of elimination until you uncover all of your target's friends. If they have 300 friends and your search came up with 50 friends in common, you know there are still 250 friends to identify. Repeat the process to reveal them all, but it should be easier once you've discovered the first round of Facebook friends.

Chances are you don't need to see their whole friends list, but if you do, there's also a script that'll automate the process for you at the link below. This logical approach to uncovering hidden friends doesn't break any rules and is easy to do if you have a little time.

Yes. Here are a couple of ways to view a Spotify user’s public profile:

    • If you know their username, type spotify:user: username in the search box. (Note that the username must be written in lower-case )
    • You can simply click on a username wherever it appears. For instance, if you are viewing a playlist created by another Spotify user, their username appears at the top of the page.

Once you are viewing a user’s public profile you can add the user to your People list by clicking the “Add ..” button at the top of the page.

Just want to make another note after sending some of you direct emails.

Usernames are just one word or a series of numbers. You won’t be able to search for just ‘John Doe’. If your friend goes to his/her Overview Page he/she can find the right username.

Then search ‘spotify:user:(his username)’. You’ll then find the profile. https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

      Hi there echoecho!

Your people list is for your own use only–your friends aren’t notified and you aren’t automatically added to their list.

Your Spotify profile will only display your Top Artists and Top Tracks (you can opt out of this in your Preferences) and your published playlists.

It’s easy for you. Type spotify:user:username (with your friend’s username) on the search bar to find your friend. At the top it should say “Make it easier to access username’s music by adding them to your people list” with a button to add them.

However, it’s a bit harder for your friend to add you. You need to give your “username” which is a string of numbers to your friend. Then your friend does the same as you, using your user number. You can find your number from your profile page: click here

Every time you experience problems with your microphone, it can be due to various factors that you can easily check. Although the problem might sometimes be serious and require professional attention, it can often be solved in a matter of minutes.

This article will look into the possible culprits that could be interfering with your Facebook calls and preventing your microphone from working properly.

Your Microphone’s Cable Isn’t Properly Plugged In

This is both the most harmless issue and the easiest to fix. All that you have to do is check if you have plugged your microphone’s external cable correctly into your computer.

It often happens that people plug their microphones into wrong sockets on their computers. This occurs because two almost identical sockets (one for your microphone and one for your speaker) are usually located next to each other. So, if you have plugged your microphone into the socket that was meant for your speakers, your microphone won’t work.

Simply check the marks on the sockets, plug your microphone’s cable out, and then plug it into the correct microphone socket. Also, make sure that you have plugged the cable all the way into the socket.

Your Microphone’s or Headset’s Mute Switch Is Toggled On

Some microphones and headsets have mute switches that, when pressed, automatically disable your microphone. Therefore, check whether your microphone’s mute switch (if it has one) has been toggled off and adjust it if needed.

Other Programs Are Currently Using Your Microphone or Camera

You could be experiencing Facebook call issues when two programs are using your microphone or camera at the same time. Sometimes, these types of programs won’t get into a conflict with each other, and your devices will work on both platforms.

However, that depends on the software itself. With that in mind, make sure that all other programs that might be using your microphone or camera device are closed. The programs that you should check for are Skype, Team Speak, Team Viewer, Viber, etc.

Certain websites can also use your microphone and camera device without you even knowing. If you have a website that has asked for permission to use your microphone/camera device opened in another tab (or if you aren’t sure whether the website is using your devices), close it before calling a friend via Facebook.

The Hardware That You Are Using Isn’t Set as Default

Windows includes an option that allows you to choose which hardware devices you want to use and set as default. This feature has been added in case you are using multiple external devices at once and would want to have more control over their configuration and overall usage.

Here’s how you can set your current microphone device as default:

      1. Click on the Start button in the bottom-left corner.
      2. Select Control Panel.
      3. Click on Hardware and Sound.
      4. Select Sound from the displayed list. This will open a pop-up window.
How to mute someone on facebook
      5. Select the Recording tab. From there, you will be able to see the list of audio devices that are currently connected to your computer.
      6. Click on the microphone that you are using.
      7. Click on the Set as Default button located on the bottom of the pop-up window.
How to mute someone on facebook

You can also enter your microphone’s configuration from the same pop-up window by selecting it and clicking on Configure.

Your Computer Might Be Missing Proper Audio Drivers

Drivers are software that controls how your computer’s hardware is behaving. If you are completely missing your audio drivers or if you have installed the wrong ones (outdated), make sure to update your entire audio drivers list.

Here’s how you can do that:

How to mute someone on facebook

      1. Click on the Start button.
      2. Type Device Manager in the search bar.
      3. Select the first option (Device Manager). This will open a pop-up window that contains all of the drivers that have been installed on your computer.
      4. Find the Sound, Video and Game Controllers option and right-click on it.
      5. Click on Scan for Hardware Changes. Your drivers will then either automatically update, or you will be asked if you want to install updates for your audio configuration.

There Could be Something Wrong with Your Browser

Several things can lead to your browser not working. This, of course, will reflect on the Facebook call feature. To make sure that’s not the problem, close your browser entirely and open it again.

This should resolve browser issues. If not, delete your browser’s cache. This can be done by entering your browser’s settings and navigating to its Privacy section. From there, you will have the Clear Browser Cache option which you should click on.

There Could Be Something Wrong with Facebook

There is often something wrong with Facebook itself. Developers might be upgrading the platform that you are currently using which could lead to you experiencing microphone problems. In that case, all that you can do is wait and try again.

If other people experience the same problem as you, then there’s nothing wrong with your computer’s sound configuration, and the problem is on Facebook’s end.

      Enjoy Your Facebook Calls

Hopefully, some of the previously mentioned methods have helped you resolve your microphone issue. If none of that has worked for you, check your computer’s hardware. For example, your microphone’s cable could be damaged. In some cases, your microphone may need replacing.

Which of these methods did you try and did it work for you? Is there another possible solution to this problem that we have failed to mention? Let us know in the comments below.

This easy guide will teach you how to remove someone from messenger, not just unfriending them, but also unfollowing and totally blocking the user from your Facebook Messenger Friend list.

Facebook Messenger allows people to message you even without having you as a friend or you following them, so this is why there is a need to learn how to prevent people you don’t know from disturbing your inbox with irrelevant messages or spamming.

You might remove a contact, but to remove someone from a messenger is a big deal, but we got you covered. This option is very useful for people in so many groups where there are different varieties of people having different opinions, rude or kind ones.

How To Remove Someone From Messenger?

This is an easy procedure to follow, it might have been difficult if you never knew this tutorial, so follow the instructions if you intend to get rid of a user on your Messenger chat list.

      Method 1

      1. Login to Facebook via Mobile App, Microsoft Windows App or Web Version.
      2. Open the Profile of the user who messaged you and not on your friend’s list.
      3. After locating the Profile, Tap the friend and unfriend or unfollow, just in case you were friends, if not…
      4. Tap on the three-dotted option button and block the user from seeing your Facebook profile which means you are free from messages from the user.

How to mute someone on facebook

This is one way to do that, there are many other ways as well, read on to see how to remove someone from messenger and be free from annoying chats of strangers.

      Method 2

      1. Using Facebook Messenger, open the software, Android, Windows or iPhone.
      2. Click on the People contact which shows all active friends on your list.
      3. Now you can locate the person you want to remove from the messenger.
      4. Near the Profile’s call button, click Info > Remove Contact.
      5. Option to either Accept or Decline will be shown, accept to remove the user. from your list.

This is for method two which strictly uses Messenger rather than the Facebook App since this is why you are here. After implementing this method 2, when a non friend sends you a message, instead of it appearing on your Messenger chats, it can be seen on Message request, this means only approved chats will be distributed to you.

In addition to that, when you decline the chat, the person will not be able to converse with you, see your profile pic or online status. They will not see the message “you cannot reply to this chat” when you decline their chat like when you blocked someone on Messenger, rather when you view their message on the request section, he/she will not know it has been read till you accept and reply, also if you decline it, they will not be notified also, but Facebook will not deliver any of their messages to you.

The options and settings are different on all platform, I will focus on Android version procedure to get rid of someone on Messenger Android App.

How To Remove Someone From Messenger Android App?

      1. Open the latest version of the Messenger app for Android Device.
      2. Tap a user Profile Picture on the App.
      3. Next to the Call and Video icon at the top of the chat, click the Info Icon.
      4. Scroll down, Under Privacy click Ignore Messages.
      5. You’ll get a warning message with the bolded text “Ignore this conversation?”
      6. Click Ignore

Now you will not be notified when the contact or user messages you directly, and the conversation will move to Message Requests. Facebook Messenger won’t tell the user the messages have been ignored. If you want to block the user, you will see the option just right under the “Ignore Messages” text. Conversations from the person can also be muted, no sound will be made when their message has been received, but this does not work like ignore chats.
