The music industry has taken years, in fact decades to catch up to the age of online services and one company has taken advantage of the fact that it is now easier to legally obtain music rights over the Internet. That company is Spotify.
With Spotify, it is now completely legal to obtain music and listen to streams your favourite artists online. With the free version, you’re able to access a very large database of free online music which you can listen to for up to 10 hours, however you want. The Windows version offered here is great, but you can also take the music with you to other devices such as iPads and Android phones and tablets.
The sound quality of music streamed by Spotify is actually amazing and with it, you can create you very own playlists containing free music from your favourite artists, genres or singles.
Finding music with this program is pretty easy with Spotify’s built-in search engine which provides you the opportunity to search for artists, songs, bands and related music. Unlike other services like Last.fm, you are given full customization options of your own playlists. Your current playback choices can also be broadcast to your Facebook or Twitter stream, though we’re not that sure this wouldn’t qualify as ‘spammy’.
In the end, Spotify features over 13 million different songs from a huge array of artists and if you really become a fan of the free version and require access to more playback, then there is also a premium version available.
By the way, Spotify is fully supported by the music recording industry and has no relation to downloading services or peer-to-peer networks which allow ‘free’ access to content which is unauthorized.

5 Ways to Organize your Social Media Marketing Strategy
1. Set goals for your business
Any kind of social media strategy planning starts with goals. Your goals must be reflected in your content strategy. The time and energy which you want to put into your campaigns must be according to your goal. Goals are like to build a community or a more dedicated following or to drive more revenue this year.

2. Research your target audience
You must know your audience which influences your social media marketing strategy. Research on social media demographics, to know which networks you should approach for your brand and the content. Although the demographics data give you the information about each channel you must know what your real-world social customers are.
For this reason, you can go through a social media dashboard that provides an overview of the followers you have. You can also check how they interact with your channel. When it comes to your target customer, you must know about the things like age, location, average income, Types of industry, Interests, etc.
To grow on social media you must appear for the standard Like count, for the paid or organic content. For getting organic engagement which is much harder to gain traction, many brands turn to ads. To gain popularity you must know the differences of budget for both your ad spend and invest in different formats.
3. Create engaging social content
You should have a pretty good idea about engagements of content that satisfy your goal and brand identity. Starting from filters to captions and beyond, many brands follow the same content formats. You can use some content themes which help you to be more consistent.
For getting better results you can cycle between memes, product photos, and user-generated content, etc. For using all these sources of social content, you can consider social media management tools. You can also organize your media library and schedule the time of your posts in advance through these tools.
Vanity metrics are easy to track like a number of followers and likes, but it’s hard to find their real value. You need to focus on other things like engagement, click-through, and conversion rates to grow on social media.
4. Research on Your Competitors’ Social Networks
For social media marketing, you should know your competitors for dragging the same audience on social media to gain popularity. Search your competitors, on all the major social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In, Pinterest, etc. Check the number of followers of your competitors to understand which social networks the audience is most active on. A competitive analysis makes you understand who the competitors are and what they are doing. A good sense of your industry will set the social media targets of your own to grow on social media.
In social media, you can gain respect as a brand by just being present and talking to your audience. For this reason, social customer care is important to brands for increasing audience awareness and engagement. Social media algorithms are also important for organic content which increases with time to the majority of the audience.
5. Give your time to social media
Time is the most important thing for marketers. You are expected to deliver fresh content on a regular basis and must be available for your followers. You must always remember that your customers never wait for your time, so you need to manage time for them. Time management is the primary criteria for business if you have limited resources or a small team. You can even use some of the best social media marketing tools to get the best results.
You can use social media or community managers to give the answer to any product growth on social media. So, it’s important to learn the best times to post on social media .
All of the points mean social media marketing strategy can be reviewed and adjusted according to need. The first thing you need to do is to determine your business objectives. That gives you overarching benefits to your business while maintaining some advice. You must do surveys to find out how your strategy is working. Keep in contact with your followers through mobile number, email, or others to meet their needs and expectations.

How to remove App Library in iOS 14
App Library, similar to the app drawer on Android is an interesting addition in iOS 14. However, if you happen to dislike this new feature then there is nothing much you can do about it. The reason being, Apple hasn’t included enough settings to tweak or customize the App Library as per the user’s preference.
Hence, if you’re looking for a way to turn off or disable App Library in iOS 14 then that’s not possible. It is always there and you cannot get rid of App Library if it bothers you.
We hope Apple adds an option to turn off the App Library in future iOS updates.
How to hide apps from App Library in iOS 14
Are you looking to hide dating apps like Tinder from the App Library?
Unfortunately, iOS 14 provides no way to hide or remove apps from the App Library. So, while you can remove the app’s icon from the home screen, the app is always accessible from the App Library. That said, the app may not be always visible in the App Library depending on your usage.

To delete an app, long tap the app’s icon (present at the left side) and tap “Delete App”.
How to edit or rearrange the App Library
Do you want to manually create app groups in the App Library? No, you cannot as they’re created automatically based on iOS’s intelligence categorization.
The App Library automatically suggests what apps you may be wanting to use based on your usage in the “Suggestions” box. And all of your recently used apps are grouped into the “Recently Added” group. Both of these show up at the top of the App Library and come in handy.
How to make App Library your home screen
If you want to set iOS 14’s App Library as your home screen then that’s not possible. A home screen with a host of apps or even a black home screen (with just the dock) will always be there along with the App Library.

In case your apps are scattered across several screens then you can hide home screen app pages in iOS 14 for a cleaner look. To hide additional pages of apps in iOS 14, follow the steps below.
- Long-press an empty area on the home screen or an app page.
- When the jiggle mode is active, tap the page dots icon shown right above the app dock.
- Uncheck any app pages that you want to hide. Note: You need to select at least one page that will be your home screen.
- Tap the “Done” button at the top right corner. Tap Done once again.
TIP: Having fewer home screen pages makes it easier to access the App Library.
That’s it. Just follow the above steps to re-show any app pages that you hid earlier.
How to add apps back to your home screen in iOS 14
If you have accidentally moved an app to App Library then it can’t be accessed from the home screen. To add removed apps back to the home screen, go to App Library and look for the app that you want to add back. If you can’t find the particular app in app folders then search for the app in App Library.
To move apps from App Library to one of the home pages, press and hold an empty space in the App Library until you see the jiggle mode. Then tap the app and drag it to one of your home screens. Tap “Done” after moving the apps.

It can be done, but through the Spotify Web API console. Are you familiar with getting the Song URI information link, the 22 character string code for song track information?
1. First I would open note pad or something similar to copy and paste content into in case something gets closed. To get the track URI information you are wanting to find the Genre information about the song for. Right mouse click on the song to highlight the song, and select from the right click menu options, Copy Spotify URI link which will look something like this:
2. Go to the Spotify Web API look up tool for Get – Track information here:
3. Only copy the 22 digit string code from the song URI link information from notepad into the field that reads, Spotify Track ID: 7wVdKwd0CZkzLT2cRcTSqz <------ Will look something like this to the left.
4. Make sure to put in your two letter Region / Country codes into the field that reads.
Market: US <---- For an example. A website to look up two letter country codes:
5. Click on the green button that reads TRY IT. Scroll down to the page until you get a bunch of code return information. What you are looking for is the Artist information code link, so that you can get the genre meta data from it, which will look like this for an example.
6. Make sure to copy and paste that Artist string code link into your text document just in case. Now go to the Spotify WEB API look up information for Get – Artist link here:
7. Repeat the same that you did for the track information, but only put in the 22 character string code for the Artist like this:
Spotify Album ID: 3pulcT2wt7FEG10lQlqDJL <------ Click on the green TRY IT Button.
8. Scroll down the computer code information. In the first couple of code sections there will be one string of code that reads something like this:
> , ” genres ” : [ “alternative metal” , “groove metal” , “melodic death metal” , “melodic metalcore”
You can do this for each song you are interested in with how that artist is labelled with the different music genres.

doesn’t this just give us the string of the genre of the artist has listed under them and not the genre of a specific song?

True, the steps you explain show the genre of an artist, NOT a song.
Could you explain it better?

That’s actually pretty interesting.
/goes to play in it with Amon Tobin data/
Just in case, went through the Get Album console as well. That one didn’t give genres.
Yes, it gives the general all-round image of the genres this artist fits into.
I usually check last.fm for genres. It has user-provided data (tags), it’s rather correct and it also has genre tags for albums and songs as well as artists themselves.
DIscogs has a neat system too, but not for individual tracks (unless they are released individually).
Hope that helps

In order to check the Spotify song genres it’s convenient to go to:
This is a side project of some wise guy from EchoNest, the big data company, directly powering Spotify’s database structure. You log with your Spotify login and you can check the genre structure of your whole library, all playlists, followed playlists or a specific playlist. Fun thing is that it gives you all genre tags, both top-level and generic, more detailed and bottom-level geeky descriptions. It gives you an idea how recommendations work, especially Discover Weekly and Release Radar. For example “Yes” in my library is under Rock, but also under “progressive rock”, “symphonic rock”, etc.
When you know broad or specific genre, try to look in Spotify for an automatic playlist “The Sound of . ”, like “The sound of metal” or (more fun as geeky genres) “The sound of Mathcore”. You have Christian metal, Christian hardcore, Unblack metal, etc. Metal genres are the best for me. When you find such playlist, swipe to see its description and there you have a rabbit’s hoke of links: Intro to Metal, Edge of metal, pulse of metal, women of metal and a bunch of related genres you would not think of. Have fun!
Spotify is sort of free. It is what is commonly referred to as a “freemium” service. This means that you don’t have to pay any money to sign up for the service or use it. However, the service has several features that are locked unless you purchase and maintain a paid subscription, known as Spotify Premium.
For instance, if you only have the free version of Spotify:
You will see advertisements in the Spotify application, and hear them between songs.
You can only skip songs a certain number of times over a certain length of time.
You cannot download songs to be able to listen to them when not connected to the Internet.
You will not be able to customize the order in which certain songs play (on a mobile device).
Your audio quality will be somewhat limited.
How much does Spotify Premium cost?
Spotify Premium costs $9.99 per month (plus tax) in both the United States and Canada, charged at the beginning of each month. If you cancel your subscription in the middle of the month, you will not get a refund for your fee for that month, but you will avoid paying more fees until you renew your subscription.
Are there ways to get discounts for Spotify?
Absolutely! Though Spotify no longer offers 30-day (or 60-day) free trials, it does offer users a 3-month trial of Spotify Premium for a 99₵ flat fee. It only works if you’ve never used Spotify Premium before, though, either through a free trial or some other promotion. We’ll show you how to get it at the end of this tutorial.
(NOTE: after the time period for this trial has expired, if you haven’t cancelled your subscription, you will continue at the usual monthly rate of $9.99 plus tax.)
There are also other discounts that you can get. For instance, with the Spotify Family promotion, you can have up to 5 family members (yourself plus four others) use the same paid subscription. Instructions for how to set it up can be found at this link.
You can also get 50% off your subscription if you are a student at an American college. We’ll tell you more in our Spotify Student Discount article.
How to get a Spotify (almost) free trial
Go to www.spotify.com in your web browser. In the top-right corner, click Upgrade.
On the next screen, click Get 3 Months for 99₵.
You’ll be prompted to log into Spotify. If you don’t have an account yet, visit our How to Sign Up for Spotify tutorial to learn how to make one. Otherwise, just enter your user name and password for Spotify, and click Log In.
On the next screen, click in the highlighted boxes and type in or select your credit card number, the month and year that your credit card expires, your credit card’s security code (move your mouse cursor over the “?” to learn where to find this number), and your mailing code. Then click the box labelled “I’m Not a Robot” and complete the activity that appears.
You can also click PayPal to pay for your subscription with a PayPal account, if you have one.
When you’ve filled in all of your information, scroll down and click Start Premium.
You will receive a confirmation email of your order. Enjoy Spotify Premium! Also, if you ever want to cancel your subscription to Spotify Premium, our How to Delete Your Spotify Account tutorial will show you how to do so.
While Discord may be a popular choice among gamers, the communication platform has expanded beyond gaming over the past year. Now, it not only hosts Valheim and Among Us servers but is also home to K-pop fan communities, tech enthusiasts, and melophiles, among others. And well, if you didn’t know, Discord has a handy feature that lets you listen to music with friends on Spotify. Called Listen Along, you can tune in to your favorite music while staying connected with your friends on Discord. In this article, we will show you how to host a Spotify Listening Party on Discord.
Organize Spotify Listening Party on Discord (2021)
Before getting started, it is important to note that all the participants will need a Spotify Premium account to access the feature. If you invite a friend who doesn’t have Spotify Premium, they will get an error message and won’t be able to participate in the listening party. With that out of the way, here’s how to start a “Listen Along” session on Discord.
1. First, connect your Spotify account with Discord. You can do this from Settings -> Connections -> Spotify. For step-by-step instructions, check out our guide on how to connect Spotify to Discord.
2. After linking Spotify and Discord, open Spotify and play some music. Now, when you switch back to Discord while playing music on Spotify, you will see a green play icon on the “+” upload file button in the message box.
3. Click on the green play button and choose the “Invite [user/channel] to Listen to Spotify” option. You can use this feature on public/ private Discord channels as well as personal DMs.
3. You can now send the invite along with a message on a Discord server or to a friend. If you want, you can choose to leave the ‘Add a Comment’ textbox blank and click on the “Send Invite” button to proceed further.
4. Your friend (or channel members) will now get an invite link. Now, all they have to do is click on the “Join” button in the invite to take part in the listening party. And, since the link is dynamic, it will automatically change the preview when you switch songs.
Note : You can either choose to pick and play songs manually or pick a playlist you wish to listen to with your friends or followers.
5. Here’s what the UI will look like when you are in an active listening session. You will see the profile pictures of users, friends who join your party in the invite box.
6. To leave a Spotify listening party, click on the ‘X’ button present above to the profile picture preview.
Host Spotify Listening Party on Discord
So, that’s how you can use Discord’s Listen Along feature to host listening parties with Spotify. The only catch here is that you need a Spotify Premium subscription for it to work. Now, you can also rely on Spotify’s group sessions feature to organize a listening party among a group of five friends. You can then chat about your favorite BTS tracks or build a playlist on another messaging app. Also, if you don’t have Spotify Premium and still want to host a listening party on Discord, pick one of the best Discord music bots from our curated list and add bots to your Discord server. Don’t forget to share your experience with us in the comments section. Also, if you have any questions, let us know down below.
Many Serato DJs asked in Reddit “Can I add Spotify music to Serato DJ?” You may always get an answer NO. Now, it is possible to transfer music from Spotify to Serato DJ software.

But there is a problem for DJs to use Spotify with Serato software, at least till now.

As far as we know, Serato DJ software supports SoundCloud and TIDAL music streaming. And from the web, there maybe one more: Pulse Locker, another music streaming site that is not nearly as good. Although Spotify has a much larger selection of music & obviously a much larger reach, Serato DJ does not support Spotify till now. If there is some date for integration, it’s the future.
How to Link Spotify and Serato DJ Program?
